Overview

The Tanton 44-CT is a true bluewater cruiser. Built in Taiwan in the Ta Chioa Brother's yard, she is solidly constructed, so is heavy and sea-kindly and comfortable to live aboard. Her designer Yves-Marie Tanton was of the same era as Bob Perry and Chuck Paine, all of whom designed boats with long distance cruising in mind.

Her first owners bought her on the West Coast and cruised her extensively, taking her from the West coast into the Caribbean. The second owners sailed her up and down the East Coast and her current owners (of 20 years) kept her in Maine for the first years of their ownership and have subsequently cruised her extensively.

Over the years there has been constant in-depth maintenance (records available), some of which can be found in the Full Specifications.
