Description
A handsome, much admired yacht that sails magnificently. Ocean cruiser with three Atlantic crossings under her belt. Completely checked and refitted for a safe sail from Lymington to St Lucia in 2011.
Kitted out for comfortable cruising in the Caribbean with the centre cockpit giving an airy, large owners en suite cabin aft. Well equipped for easy and convenient living with a generator, dual powered water maker, large fridge, separate freezer and microwave.
Construction
Wind Charger was built in 1990 at Tania Yacht company in Taiwan and the finishing fit undertaken by Fox’s Marine in Ipswich in 1992. She is of GRP construction with a teak deck. The full keel is one piece of cast lead and has a strong skeg hung rudder.
The boat spent 10 years in Portugal where it was lightly used and well maintained. Second owners purchasing in 2003 were a family of four living aboard and travelling throughout the Med and across to the Caribbean. The third owners undertook a thorough refit and upgrade in 2011 to prepare the yacht for a crossing to the Caribbean where it is now moored.
Accommodations
The interior is very airy and open with smart teak joinery everywhere. Clever design optimises storage opportunities.
The centre cockpit format creates very comfortable owners quarters with double bed, masses of cupboards and drawers and en suite heads with separate shower room which incorporates a wet cupboard.
There is a forward cabin with a good sized double bunk, cupboards and drawers and en suite heads for your visitors and there is room for two more in the saloon with a handy pull out bunk.
The spacious saloon has a large teak folding table, that has been known to seat 10 at one sitting, with stowage compartments and drawers underneath. The two sofas are covered in easy maintenance waterproof fabric designed for use in care homes.
The galley has a long run of worktop incorporating a top loading fridge and separate freezer alongside a four burner cooker leading to a further worktop area then angled double sink with mixer tap. Cupboards run behind the worktop and handy drawers underneath with a neat cubby hole for the microwave.
A 220v ring main throughout the interior and numerous 12v sockets in all cabins, together with super efficient Caframo fans in cabins, the saloon and galley makes for comfy and convenient living.
For the ultimate evening of relaxation, plug in your MP3 to the music player and listen either on deck or in the saloon, or both.
