Manufacturer Provided Description

Designed to be a well-mannered, firm and able sailing vessel, the 3500 delivers performance. Her moderate beam and powerful ends coupled with the optional beavertail keel provide excellent stability and sail-carrying ability. The long waterline and strong rig offer fast passages and a competitive edge, while the contoured cockpit seats, wide coamings and pedestal steering ensure a skipper's comfort both at sea and dockside.  Logical in layout, she has 2-foot wide side decks and inboard shrouds that afford easy passage both fore and aft, plus allow optimum sheeting angles for efficient upwind sailing. Mounted through solid glass and aluminum backing plates, her quality equipment is strategically placed for either cruising or racing pleasure. Leading all lines aft to a cockpit that is quite manageable by one.  Down below, she is fully fitted for cruising comfort with good stowage and generous accommodations. Her interior is highlighted by Tartan's trademark teak joinery and hand rubbed oil finish.

Vessel Floor Plan

The Tartan 3500 is a classic layout with two separate and private cabins.  Leading down the 5 steps from the cockpit companionway is the U shaped galley to starboard.  A large refrigerated icebox is accessible from the countertop with an additional door accessing the bottom of the icebox/freezer.
The adjoining Nav station aft of the galley shares a Nav table with flush mounted easy access electronics.  A readily accessible fuel gauge and battery switch are with easy sight and reach.
The aft cabin to port has a
large double berth with reading backrest and lights.  The half high hanging locker provides for clothes storage.  Two port lights provide good ventilation.  The head is located to port just forward of the aft cabin.  A separate shower with folding screen separates the shower from the vanity and head.  Two separate storage areas provide storage in the shower.  The vanity has sliding doors for storage and below sink cabinet storage.
Moving forward the large main saloon utilizes two pilot berths providing se
ating for the dinette that opens with two hinged leafs with storage in the middle. Salon is equipped with a Force-10 Propane Heater.  The forward stateroom has a large full width V berth with NEW Foam Mattress, four drawer storage underneath and storage beneath the berth.  Two equal sized hanging lockers on port and starboard provide ample clothes storage.  Anchor locker access is forward.
