Overview
If you were to line up all the Tartan models, the Sparkman and Stephens designed, Tartan 40 would stand out as the belle of the ball. A solid performer either offshore or around the buoys the Tartan 40 offers wide decks, spacious cockpit and a gracious, roomy, hand crafted teak interior with two staterooms, large L-shaped galley, sit down shower/head combination, and the aft facing nav station offers enough space for any combination of navigational equipment yet is out of the mainstream so the naviagator can work and communicate through an opening port to the crew. There are ten opening ports, two large hatches,as well as two small forward hatches. Her two large dorades complete excellent cross ventilation. Her Scheel keel makes her extremely versatile either in the open ocean or gunk holing in places most boats cannot reach. Her Hull is Awlgipped Navy Blue (2006), which accents the classic S&S design, with the lines of this vessel.
