Overview

The Tartan 37 is considered one of today’s classic cruising yachts. Designed by Sparkman and Stephens with a lot of direct input from Tartan Yachts, the boat was introduced in 1976. Initially conceived as a boat that could be sold as a racer as well as a cruiser. Tartan Yachts found a winner right out of the box, 486 hulls later, they ceased production of this classic beauty in 1989. The Tartan 37 is known for it's sound construction quality and smart sailing abilities.

ABOUT "SOLSTICE"

“SOLSTICE” hull #171 is a well equipped model of this popular S&S design. Plying the waters from Maine to Bermuda to the Chesapeake Bay, she has been amply cruised.  A fast, fun boat to sail, she has picked up her share of hardware along the way, most notably in several Annapolis Newport races.

Drawing only 4'2 with the board up, she's ideal for nosing into those quiet creeks and shallow anchorages on the Chesapeake Bay. However she's far from restricted to the quiet coastal waters, she is fully capable of ocean cruising. Many of her 485 sister ships can be found throughout the harbors of the globe.
