Overview

Sugar B is an excellent example of the award-winning 1999 Beneteau Oceanis 411 Sloop. This model was named 1998 Boat of the Year and Best Value in the Full-Size Cruiser Category by Cruising World Magazine. Boasting the same hull and layout with very minor changes, this model morphed into the equally popular Beneteau 423 in 2003. This is a perfect boat for a couple to easily handle, and its sea-kindly motion and performance offshore make it safe and comfortable in all sea conditions.

The Beneteau Oceanis 411 is a large-volume yacht with a generous beam that is carried far aft for stability, allowing for a spacious cockpit, wide side decks and lively yet stable sailing performance. Her lines are clean and the cockpit seats are teak covered, providing easy maintenance and a luxurious appearance. With Roller Furling Mainsail and Headsail, all lines led aft to the cockpit, a full set of sheet stoppers, and four large 2-Speed ST Lewmar Winches, this Beneteau Oceanis 411 is easily sailed by a couple.

The preferred 2-cabin, 2-head interior layout features Cherry-stained Mahogany cabinetry throughout with plenty of storage drawers, cabinets, and lockers for all your gear and clothes on extended cruises. The Galley is conveniently located near the companionway stairs to starboard and the large folding table in the cockpit provides an alternative Sunbrella Bimini covered and enclosed dining room to the spacious fixed dinette forward of the galley.

The 50hp Yanmar Diesel only has 1590 hours and is easily accessible under the hinged companionway stairs and easily removable side panels. Loaded with all the creature comforts you've come to expect of a 41' Bluewater Cruiser, Sugar B has an in-mast Furling Mainsail, RF 150% Genoa, Solid Rod Vang, recently updated Sunbrella  and vinyl Bimini & Dodger with connecting panel, side sun shade curtains and full cockpit enclosure curtains. Four Two-Speed Self-tailing Lewmar winches, all lines and halyards led to the cockpit, teak-covered cockpit seats, cap rails, and Sugar-Scoop Transom/Swim Platform, a full suite of integrated Raymarine & AutoHelm Navigation Displays at the helm with repeaters at the Nav Station below, and clean side-decks and cabin-top make this 411 Beneteau Sloop 1999, a winning combination of form and function, ready to take you safely and comfortably to all the harbors you’ve dreamed of.

This one-owner, exceptionally clean and well-maintained 1999 Beneteau Oceanis 411 has cruised from the Chesapeake to Florida and is now in Florida ready to take her new owner on more sailing adventures. Call today to schedule a personal inspection and let us introduce you to Sugar B.

Manufacturer Provided Description

The Beneteau 411, designed by the renowned Groupe Finot, exemplifies a true marriage of performance and beauty. Setting the highest standards in safety and construction, the 411 offers peace of mind. Her powerful hull is made up entirely of hand laid fiberglass and is protected by vinylester resin. With the bulb - fin keel, maximum stability and efficiency on all points of sail are achieved by her low center of gravity.

Whether one is soloing or is with a crew of family and friends, the standard in-mast furling main and roller furling genoa provide efficiency and true ease of handling. Only the highest quality hardware is installed on her well laid out deck, and the location of the genoa sheet winches (accessible and within an arm's reach of the helm) will be appreciated. The beautiful teak capped bulwark, wide walkways, handrails, double lifelines, and Beneteau's molded nonskid deck surfaces create a strong sense of reliability. A standard three-blade prop gives the Beneteau 411 excellent maneuverability under power, and her large, leather-covered wheel provides precise and easy steering under sail or power.

The large cockpit with teak inlaid seats is designed for maximum comfort while providing safety at sea, and the pedestal console allows ample space to install electronics. There is also a dual leaf cockpit table containing a large molded storage area and there is plenty of space to stow gear in the large cockpit lockers. Going for a swim is easy and convenient with the extra-wide aft swim platform and ladder, walkthrough transom, and standard cockpit shower.

Below, her spacious and efficient layout makes use of every nook and cranny. An abundance of natural light and ventilation floods the interior through many deck hatches, portholes, and dorade vents. The Beneteau 411's joinerwork is handcrafted and cherry stained. Both the two- and three-cabin layouts have roomy companionways, large cabins, and plenty of storage throughout. All of this is accented with richly detailed and highly finished Beneteau cabinetry. Designed for entertaining or enjoying a gourmet meal, the salon table is very accommodating - seating up to six people; remove the inner leaf, and it becomes a cocktail table with plenty of room for games and snacks. Specially designed for serious cruising, the 411 nav station provides a large chart table and ample space for installing electronics. Under the chart table settee there's an additional locker for even more storage.

The deluxe forward owner's stateroom features a generous double berth and an upholstered port settee that is perfect for reading or relaxing. Additional features include a large hanging locker, shelves, and stowage under the berth; as well, there is private access to the spacious and well ventilated forward head with sink and shower unit. The galley is beautifully appointed with pressure laminate countertops, big double stainless sinks, and loads of storage. The two-compartment refrigerator - freezer has top and side access, and the two-burner propane stove with oven will accommodate every culinary need. Handcrafted lockers with cane doors, great ventilation, and plenty of workspace add to making cooking pleasurable dockside or underway.

Accommodations

Board this 1999 Beneteau 411 Oceanis from the teak-covered sugar-scoop transom or through one of two boarding gates on either side of the cockpit with teak-covered seats. The Sunbrella Bimini has a full set of vertical sun-screens as well as a full set of Sunbrella and clear vinyl Enclosure side and aft curtains that are easily attached with zippers. The Dodger has zippered vinyl windshield panels with removable Sunbrella sun covers as well as a zippered panel to connect the Bimini to the Dodger for complete protection from the elements. The companionway is recessed forward under the large Dodger, protecting the stairway in all weather conditions. The lower companionway steps are hinged and lift up for easy and convenient access to the engine compartment.

The Air Conditioned interior is spacious and the salon and dinette areas in the center of the boat provide plenty of seating for your entire crew with the galley recessed aft to Starboard of the companionway. All cabinetry is Cherry-stained Mahogany with woven cane inserts in every cabinet door, providing ventilation as well as an elegant touch to the excellent fit-and-finish found through-out this yacht. A gloss-varnished Teak & Holley Sole nicely accents and completes the quality décor. Natural ventilation is provided by 10 Opening Lewmar Port Windows with screens and 7 Lewmar Opening Deck Hatches with screens and OceanView sun-shades. There are 3 fixed windows in the hull sides.

Aft to port is the Guest Stateroom with a queen size berth, small settee, shelves and a hanging locker providing ample storage. Light and ventilation are provided by an overhead opening hatch, side opening ports, and a 12V fan. Moving forward is the Guest Head with shower, vanity and easy-to-care-for white fiberglass walls and cabinets. Forward of the Guest and Day Head is the Nav-Station with AC & DC electrical panels , Autohelm Tri-Data and GPS Repeater Displays, Link Battery condition Monitor Display, as well as a Standard VHF with DSC above, and the end of the port Salon settee cushions provides comfortable seating for the Navigator.

Opposite the Guest Head is the L-Shaped Galley with double SS sink, stove, oven, microwave oven, and 12V front-loading Refrigeration and top-loading Freezer; just right for extended cruising. The Galley is very workable, with plenty of natural light, Cherry-stained Mahogany cabinets with woven cane inserts, drawers, and generous counter space.

Forward of the galley is the light and airy salon area with a large Varnished Mahogany dinette table with U-shaped comfortable seating around it for six, with shelf and locker storage above, below and outboard, as well as book shelves on the forward salon bulkhead. Opposite is a full length settee. JVC stereo and speakers are an added plus.

Forward of the Salon is the fully enclosed Private Master State Room with a walk-through with hanging lockers and bench seating to port and Pullman style berth w/ storage beneath to starboard. Two overhead deck hatches, a 12V fan, and two opening ports provide plenty of light and ventilation. All the way forward in the forepeak, is the private Master Head, shower, and vanity, with ample cabinets and storage.

One of the under-rated advantages of this layout is that you can leave the forward hatch open over the forward head when anchored and get a fantastic breeze through the boat without fear of rain doing any damage to cushions or woodwork, because the head is void of woodwork, except for a varnished grab rail.
