Overview

There were only 27 of these built between 1971 and 1975. Designed by Vince Lazzara and built on the West Coast of Florida, these boats where notoriously heavy-built and tough. The construction is solid and thick fiberglass, and the interior is rich with teak detailing.

With a 63' mast (with antenna) and a 4.5' draft, this boat can take you up the ICW and clear all the bridges AND take you into remote parts of the Bahamas where many vessels of this size can't go. However, her seaworthy construction and range also make her perfect for offshore passages. She carries 400 gallons each of fuel and water. Gulfstar did some truly revolutionary things with their design and construction, and this vessel is proof.

Her accommodations are the epitome of comfort. The present owner has lived aboard for nearly twenty years and has made every upgrade imaginable to maximize comfort. She has three staterooms, two of which have double berths, and her two heads each have separate stall showers. Her massive salon table seats 6 + comfortably, with room for 4 more on the settee. She has an icemaker (your cocktails will never get warm!) and many upgrades to the galley.

If this isn't enough, she has a walk-in engine room with plenty of space to do maintenance work and repairs in comfort. The new engine only has 720 hours and the new generator only has 55. She has been rewired (see photo of the back of the electric panel) and taken care of mechanically and electrically in every possible way.

The cockpit has all new cushions, a custom teak grate, and well-maintained teak detail. It's huge and perfect for lounging or entertaining. Two electric Barient winches make this boat easy to sail as well!

This is a very large and very nice boat for the money--and it's priced to move! If you're not already convinced, take a look at some of the things she has to offer:

Accommodations

Once you enter from the companionway, you will be immersed in a spacious and traditional main salon with a roomy nav station to starboard and a full galley to port. Moving forward, there is full u-shaped dinette that seats 6 comfortably to port, with a settee to starboard.

Forward, the spacious head with a separate stall shower is to starboard and a guest cabin, complete with bunk beds, to port. The v-berth forward is roomy and comfortable, making this an excellent boat for a large family or for entertaining guests overnight.

The walk-through to the aft cabin is on the port side, and features a doorway to a spacious engine room with amazing access to the engine and generator, located under the cockpit.
