Overview

SV FREEDOM QUEST for sale This is a must see fresh water sailboat. "FREEDOM QUEST" has only been in salt water since 2011! Before that she sailed the Great Lakes since being commissioned in 1976 in Toledo OH. I have the original paperwork. This is a heavy displacement full keel boat that has a rare 5'2" draft, this is one of the few built as a deep draft! She's also built for safety for those long distance crossings; with her new sails she will hold 8-10 knots! Upgrades; new main & genoa sails, rig re-fit, engine less than 110hrs with Warranty, fresh water plumbing (PEX) along with a new 12gal hot water heater, black water plumbing (all CPVC) and a 35 gal holding tank, custom Teak, burl and Birds eye maple interior & hardwood floors throughout. The interior is finished with an oil called Waterlux and is slopped on with a cloth then wiped off, no fuss and lasts for years, and looks like varnish. She is a sloop rig with the Dutchmen sail flaking system. Her main sail is made by North Sails (w/bill of sale and build specs) out of 8.4oz Nordac 5 years ago, her 150% Genoa was also built by North Sails 3 years ago out of the same material, and has only been used 4 times. I have specs and receipts on the sails. I also installed the Tides Marine track system on the mast. The interior was custom built for maximum storage and comfort. In 2009 the interior was totally replaced with new Teak, Birds Eye Maple and Burl wood. In 2011 I also put a new Diesel engine in along with a totally refitting the very large engine room, the engine has 110hrs. with receipts and warranty! She carries 165 gal. of diesel, 175 gal water and 35 gal of black water. She has 2 complete heads w/showers and Vac-U-Flush toilets plumbed to the black water tank with 1.5" CPVC piping. All fresh water plumbing was replaced in 2011 using Pex. She also has 2 anchors, the main anchor is a 65lbs CQR with 300' of 3/8" chain and a Lemar windless, the secondary anchor is a alum Fortress with 300' of new, never been wet 3/4" rode. She has 2ea A/C-D/C refrigerators, propane fired stainless stove/oven and a microwave. Twin stainless steel sinks that are over 12" deep! She has a JRC radar/chart plotter and Ray Marine auto pilot, wind meter, depth and speed instruments all sitting on top of a new binnacle/table.
