Overview

"Lagniappe" is a fine example of a well-cared for Wauquiez (pronounced vokey-ay). This French built yacht must be considered by anyone wanting a top quality built vessel, capable of long off shore passages with a short handed crew. Combine great economics to operate & maintain plus stunning style under sail or docked, this vessel makes for a proud owner.

Lagniappe has been hauled every year since new for inspection and bottom paint. The Dodger & Bimini, Raymarine electronics, foresails and much more have been replaced since 2012.

The only thing a new owner needs to do is provision and GO!

Construction

GRP and balsa sandwich hull construction, using the infusion process for an optimum fiber / resin ratio. Protection from osmosis with vinyl-ester resins for the external layers of the sandwich. The hull incorporates a one piece floors & stringers structure. The main floors are glassed to the hull in the keel attachment area for extra strength. Bulkheads are glassed and / or bonded to the hull and deck for added stiffness. GRP, resin & balsa sandwich deck construction. Hull to deck joint via polyurethane adhesive and mechanical fastening. Lead keel with stainless steel bolts.
