Overview

With one owner from new this fast, comfortable cruiser/racer has a proven track record having taken part in the infamous 1979 Fastnet. Continually maintained and upgraded this all time classic of yacht is most certainly worth a viewing!

Owner's Comments

Mutine has been owned by the same family since new and has proved to be an outstanding seaboat. She has coped with every type of weather that has been thrown at her including the infamous 1979 Fastnet race. She has been regularly maintained by Berthon Boat Company since new and has been continually modernized.  

Construction

RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC (Recreational Craft Directive) as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998.

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

·         White GRP hull with a navy stripe.

·         The hull has had a full anti-osmosis epoxy treatment.

·         Anti-slip deck with aluminium toe rail.

·         Treated for Osmosis in 1997.

 

Keel & Rudder:

·         Lead Fin Keel.

·         Large balanced rudder onto to skeg.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

·         Volvo Penta 2040 in-board engine fitted in 2005.

·         Shaft drive system.

·         New Darglow feathering propeller 2005.
