Airport).  Call 772-215-0736 for your personalized showing.

Vessel Walkthrough & Accommodations

ALKION has the standard Sabre 36 interior layout except for the custom forward berth.  It was designed as a more traditional rectangle shaped bed instead of a V-berth with filler.  It's even more usable than the factory optional island berth, as there is much more available enclosed storage. The mattress is a custom foam, and very comfortable.  There are drawers underneath, lift up storage on the bed sides, bookshelves above and a large hanging locker for storage. The ports are SS with screens and there is a large hatch above for light and ventilation. There is an enclosed head with shower (two entrances), sink, separate sump, storage locker for linens and electric fresh water head system with mascerator.

The U-shaped Galley is equipped with refrigerator/freezer, large SS sink and numerous drawers, cabinets and lockers for galley stores. Opposite the Galley is the U-shaped dinette which comfortably seats 4, a bar cabinet, lockers and bookshelves, as well as storage below the settee. SS ports provide great light and ventilation. Below deck is completely finished in varnished cherry with varnished teak and holly sole. The dinette cushions are a cream ultra-suede nautical fabric and the Galley counter is a tan speckled Corian.

Up three steps to the bridge deck with two helm chairs and helm to starboard. Aft and to port of the companion helm seat is an L-shaped bench seat. The companion helm seat lifts off and the grated teak table fits over the pedestal.  Off the bridge deck, aft to the cockpit is a bench seat to port facing aft, and fold-up bench seat aft facing forward. There’s a stern cockpit door to starboard leading to the fiberglass swim platform. There are moulded steps on port and starboard leading up to wide side decks to the bow. There are SS side railings leading from cockpit to bow.

ALKION is a stunning example of this very popular MKII express cruiser that has been professionally maintained and shows like new.

Salon

Located to starboard opposite the Galley on the port. U-shaped settee with a cherry table that lowers to the fiddles and makes a two person berth. Upholstery is a cream ultra-suede nautical fabric. There are three SS opening portholes and one overhead hatch for good natural light and ventilation. The AC/DC electrical panel is located on the aft bulkhead. Lots of storage under the settee. There is a center bookshelf on the outboard side flanked by two opening louvered doors for more storage. The entire area is warm and inviting with the beautiful cherry-wood interior and the teak and holly sole.

  • "U" settee converts to double berth, 4.5" foam cushions

Galley

There is plenty of storage in the U-shaped galley. Tambour doors slide to expose dish storage. Ventilation is excellent with two opening, stainless steel ports and one overhead deck hatch in the Galley. Features a tan speckled Corian Galley counter, single stainless steel sink with Scandvik H/C faucet, built-in waste basket; drawers and storage lockers below counter; wall mounted storage cabinets.

Master Stateroom - Forward

The forward cabin is very uniquely custom designed to the highest quality craftsmanship at the Oxford Boatyard with no expense spared.  The centerline berth is wider than the factory "island berth" offering more sleeping room, yet still allows for the same entry and exit to the bed on the end.  There is a high grade Portland custom foam mattress with custom sheets.  And at the outboard sides, there are custom cherry storage cabinets that match the rest of the factory craftsmanship perfectly.   Hanging locker space is plentiful in this cabin and the various lockers, drawers, and above the berth shelves are spacious.

Helm Bridgedeck & Cockpit

On deck, the helm is located to starboard behind a stylish stainless steel framed windshield. All the engine controls, the ship's compass and her owner's navigational electronics are installed on the helm pod which can be tilted aft for easy access and maintenance. Helm chairs are provided for both the helmsperson and the mate. Aft and to port of the mate's seat is an L-shaped settee with storage for fenders, lines, and safety gear and propane tank locker. The mate's seat lifts off (and stows away) and a grated teak table goes in its place when entertaining.  The transom gate opens out to the fiberglass swim platform and a stainless steel swim ladder is provided. The cockpit area has two seating areas, one facing aft, the other facing forward, with plenty of extra space for chairs.  Also the Salon table removes from the Salon and can be installed in the cockpit.  Below the aft deck are additional storage areas, accessible through lazarette hatches. Both lower and upper cockpit soles are semi-permanent hatches, allowing for easy access should work under the cockpit be required.
