Overview
Designed by Ted Hood and built in 1968. She is fully equipped to comfortably cruise or competitively race anywhere from Nova Scotia to the Bahamas. Rabbit was the first Hood yacht to circumnavigate the world and continues to cruise the Great Lakes and Maine from her homeport in Narraganset Bay. She has a full keel and is comfortable and safe offshore. She is fully equipped with both racing and cruising North sails. Electronics, rigging, and equipment are to the latest standard. Complete racing gear includes North sails, rod stays and shrouds, high performance running rigging and hardware, and all required safety gear. Her cruising equipment is proven with spares for all systems including new solenoids, pumps, filters, and hoses for the Westerbeke 35c engine with 1100 hours. Yearly maintenance has assured very competitive performance on the race course and trouble free cruising. Rabbits reputation as the prettiest boat in the harbor has been reinforced by new teak and holly soles, headliners, designer fabrics, opening stainless hatches, Awlgrip Matterhorn white deck, mast, boom, cockpit, and hull. The faired underwater hull has been longboarded to a racing finish.
Easy cockpit access to down below demonstrates full galley gear including dishes and flatware, ships and digital clock, weather cloths, double sinks, book and chart racks, folding table, and stereo system also on deck. The cockpit comfortably seats six for cocktails and four for dinner down below. On board are complete English and metric tools for all engine and electrical maintenance.
