Elandra 53 Sport Yacht Review

Elandra 53 Sport Yacht Review
The convertible idea is due to Grant’s expertise, looking skimpy with 3 layers of E-glass, another 5 layers of vinyl and final one of isophthalic polyester resin, all making one strong hull of the boat. Atop the hull, a fine deck structure; the lower forward sole and internal grid, to result in a magnificent boat, ready to sail in competition with any state of the art machine in the Coral Sea.

Performance

Equipped with an 800hp MAN, 6-cylinder diesel engine. This is a perfect fit when you experience how it adequately motions the whole Elandra’s mass without much ado. The MANs engine proved its worth on the test ride, at 34 knots. Propellers were later adjusted and she stabilized at 27 knots with 2000rpm on the metre. Engine noise at this rate was levelled at 74 decibels.

Furthermore, the Elandra’s shape, with reinforced stern and bow supports her thrusting strength even in turbulent waters. Her 9 degrees shafted engine proliferates equal speed ascension to acceleration. Her less than 4 feet slim cutting age engineering lets her float with no impediments even in shallow depths.

Space

She has enough deck space with yet again enough aft space to house her engine comfortably, the 17′ 3” beam is specifically drawn to the extreme back to give this desired space for the 4 blade propelled 2800hp MAN diesel engine. The 3 seemingly naturally connected deck structure is fast on the hull. She has a luxurious sitting and dining areas. She also has a lower deck where fuel, water and other items are kept in, therein are also 3 staterooms and 2 heads. The interior is finely finished with American walnut joinery – other varieties are available for buyers to make their choice from.
