Bering 65 Yacht Review

Bering 65 Yacht ReviewAlexei Mikhailov, founder and president of Bering Yachts has a vision and passion to build the best steel trawlers in the world. The company’s logo Steel the Best reveals the mindset and force behind this vessel and her builder. She is the marine equivalent of a luxurious SUV. With 15 knots of wind from the southeast, closely spaced seas from 4 to 5 feet, the Bering’s motion will be very steady and comfortable. Although not equipped with stabilizers or the Seakeeper gyro stabilizer, you have the option to have these added. Hard turns at cruising speed will offer very little heel and quartering seas can have a little effect on her stability. For safety, stability and pure enjoyment, you should take a closer look at Bering Yachts.

Below Decks

A forward en suite master stateroom offers an island queen berth along with his and her wardrobes and dressers. Shoji screens conceal the ports, like other staterooms. All heads are finished in ceramic tiles, towel dryers and heated soles.

Guest cabin beds are queen size and all bed frames are hinged and equipped with gas shocks. This is ideal for storing luggage under them.

Construction

Using steel provides incredible strength, durability, resistance to fire, resistance to abrasion and offers ease of maintenance and repair. This makes the vessel a natural choice for serious off-shore vessels. The advantage of steel allows for no molding, allowing the builder to expand the line both upward and downward with out a great deal of investment.

Rust resistance is supported with a two-part epoxy primer and used for dressing components in order to prevent sharp edges occurring when paint becomes too thin to protect. Adding to that, a steel yacht can be repaired any where in the world.

All Bering yachts are built to CE Ocean A Sea-State Endurance Standards and can be built to comply with other classification standards upon request.

The 65 has 4 water-tight bulkheads, 2 large bilge keels for ample passive roll damping, and improved hull rigidity. She also offers improved tracking and protecting propellers. Integral tanks add to hull stiffness and provides a double bottom at each location.
